Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021, as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher is in charge of covering all things including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin was her mother was one of NASA astronauts and an avid space fan was raised in the field. She served for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations. In that period, she also covered two presidential impeachment trials and the presdiential 2020 campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the pandemic of coronavirus. Kristin was on the road extensively, both with the president and vice-president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
